With one of the best preserved historic main streets in Canada, a wealth of historic homes, wonderful antique and specialty shops, Cobourg  which prides itself as "The Wellness Center" of Ontario and Winner of "The Communities in Bloom"is a destination all to itself. The King George Inn  and Heaven On Earth Spa and Wellness Center is in the heart of the Historic downtown right on the Harbour and Marina.  Goslings on The Lake  Restaurant is on the ground floor with an outdoor terrace overlooking Lake Ontario. "Goslings" is just the place for that Romantic Dinner after a day of Shopping or at the Spa.

Gore's Landing

Gore's Landing is steeped in the geological, cultural, First Nation and settlement history of Rice Lake and the Kawarthas. Victoria Inn is a gracious century-old inn overlooking the waters, islands and sunsets of Rice Lake. The inn is a picturesque country retreat to those in search of peace and quiet. You'll feel as though you have gone back 100 years to a gentler time - floating on the lake in a canoe, fishing, swimming, relaxing with a good book, exploring the mission architecture of this unique home. The Inn specializes in fresh Canadian country cooking, using local meat, produce, game and fish, and caters to dietary preferences.

4 day package runs Sunday through Thursday, June 1 through Thanksgiving. The package can be customized for 5 days, should you want to spend an extra day in town or out in the country.

• itineraries for self-guided tours of the Victorian streets of Cobourg and out into the Northumberland countryside to visit the many specialty shops, artisan studios, farms and museums
• reserved tickets for your choice of theatre performances at TheVictoria Hall in Cobourg,The Capitol Theatre in Port Hope,  or 4th Line Theatre in Millbrook or the Westben Arts Festival in Campbellford
